So, in no particular order, here’s some great things happening around the world that may not have fallen on your radar.
Mind control can mean new things for amputees as researchers have found a way to tap into the brain to help send signals to enable real-time movement of a robotic hand. As a result, this has paved the way for some of the most advanced prosthetic control in the world and for users of this technology, ‘it’s like you have a hand again’.
A llama showed up at a wedding and it was totally ok with the bride. Here’s why.
Imagine finding spare change in your pocket, using it to buy a lotto ticket…only to discover you just got the jackpot of $25,000 a year, for life!
Though not shocking and one hundred percent to be expected, forty-three people were injured at this year’s ‘exploding hammer’ festival in Mexico. The event entails people attaching a mix of sulphur and chlorate to the end of sledge hammers, and then banging them on the ground. Not sure this is a festival we would attend.
